Did you download the software and install it properly? Did you pick up a license from your local AutoDesk store?
It's not a firewall problem, a windows update or malware is not the cause, the most likely reason is the software is not installed properly.
Based on your other answers it seems to be a Windows 8.1 machine.
There are two ways to install AutoCAD on Windows 8.1.
One is to run the 64 bit version of AutoCAD on Windows 8.1. The other is to run the 32 bit version on Windows 8.1.
To run the 64 bit version you should download the full (paid) version of AutoCAD, not the free trial, not the demo or the pre-build. For the 32 bit version you should download the 32 bit version.
If you download the wrong version you will not be able to connect and run AutoCAD, because it can't run the 32 bit or 64 bit version of AutoCAD.
If you downloaded the free version, and you wish to run the 64 bit version, download and run the 32 bit version.
Note: If you go to the AutoCAD Productivity Center you will be able to change your preferred language, and your 32 bit version of AutoCAD will be the preferred version.
If the version you have now is 32 bit then you need to download the 32 bit version.
